The Awards

The Women of Hope (WOH) Awards was established in 2014 by Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation (HKAHF), to recognize influential women in Hong Kong who champion the call for justice to benefit women, children, and the greater community. HKAHF created WOH as a unique campaign to raise awareness of the foundation’s Cancer Fund and its efforts to support underprivileged cancer patients in Hong Kong.

In addition to honoring inspirational women, the Award Fundraiser Luncheon also features testimonials from cancer survivors, while all the funds raised at the event are directed to the Cancer Fund to provide free scans, as well as diagnosis and treatment services to those in need. In just four years, the WOH Awards has grown quickly from a 60-person affair to a large-scale event with over 270 guests in attendance and over 400 guests this year.

Through the WOH Committee’s tireless efforts and selfless dedication to philanthropy, we hope to benefit many more underserved people through WOH and HKAHF, while also educating the next generation on the importance of charity work and serving the community.

The event will consist of a testimonial from a cancer survivor and an award presentation for the 8 honorees.

Organizer

HONG KONG ADVENTIST HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

HKAHF was established in 1999 with the aim of providing timely medical treatment to the sick and underprivileged in Hong Kong, mainland China and Asia.
HKAHF’s Charity Outreach Programmes were set up to support financially disadvantaged patients from around the region. Its main mission is to assist and support those whose quality of life could be dramatically improved by medical treatment, yet lack the financial capacity to consider seeking proper and urgent help.

Through the Outreach programmes, HKAHF have been able to contribute to the society by helping to restore joy and happiness to families that have been plagued by ongoing suffering and uncertainty.
